Have you ever thought that a criminal is a born criminal, what are the reasons that compel a criminal to commit a crime?

Have you ever thought that a criminal is a born criminal, what are the reasons that compel a criminal to commit a crime?

In our India now, crime has increased a lot, we keep reading about the various types of crimes and criminal news on newspaper , magazine or on social website, through all these mediums we get an idea of in which city crime is increasing day by day or in which city crime is happening, although a law has been made on every crime, its punishments are also fixed.

But one question that always comes in our mind is, would a criminal be a born criminal?

Or what such thought stream becomes in his mind that he is so compelled to commit a crime?
It is clear that no individual is a born criminal, his/her situation,
circumstances, family background or bad childhood forces him to commit crime.
Discrimination in childhood also motivates the child to have bad associations and bad behavior. It has also been seen that in childhood if child has suffered from child abuse or neglection from family so there is a lot of chance that the child is getting attracted to the crime field.
When a criminal commits a crime, there are two reasons behind it. The first reason is that the circumstances of that criminal are so bad that he does not understand any other option than to commit the crime. Second, he loses his mental balance in such a way that he/she starts to feel that we can give satisfaction to ourselves only when we commit crime or when we see another person in trouble or pain. We also know such criminals as insane or psychopath criminals in our society.
Some of the common reasons for committing crime are:

1. Poverty
This is probably one of the most concrete reasons why people commit crimes.  Economic scarcity is seen as a prime example in this regard.  You will be shocked to learn that 3 billion people in this world are classified as poor and have very low per capita income. UNICEF says that more than 1 billion children worldwide live in poverty. More than 20,000 children die due to poverty every day. In a country where there is economic scarcity, it is common for people to indulge in criminal acts. Hunger and poor economic conditions prompt many people to invest in criminal cases.
Furthermore, when people are unable to earn for the longest time, they often start getting depressed. Truth be told, with the latest research, digital medium and television play a very important role in telling people how many criminal acts can be bought for life.  We live in a time where the rich are getting richer, and the poor are getting poorer every day.

2. Peer Pressure
It is a new form of anxiety in the modern world.  Many youth commit crimes because they see their peers engaging in such acts. It is common for high school students and college going students to engage in drugs, weed, marijuana, and more. Puberty is very important because one is not filled with intelligence and experience. That is why many people make the mistake of becoming criminals without any reason.  Most youths who have a strong will to ignore or face small criminal activities are often involved in major troubles. Unfortunately many young people in this world do not feel that they are committing many criminal acts by being a part of things they do not want to do. Therefore peer pressure is another notorious reason that young people are forced to join band-instruments.

3. Drugs and Alcoholism
Drugs & Alcohol have always been heavily criticized by critics. A person who is addicted to drugs or alcohol will do something he is not going to do at one time. Drug addicts are often unable to get rid of drug addiction resulting in a life full of bad habits. A bad lifestyle forces a person to adopt habits from which he should keep himself away.  After research, when the most violent offenders were asked about their crimes, they blamed drugs as the main reason. Drug and alcohol addiction is another major disease that has gradually engulfed many parts of the world.

4. Politics
This reason is always suppressed, but it is important to bring it into the spotlight. To get that seat, many leaders are roped in to equip many youth with weapons and carry out criminal activities.
In this day and age, it is common for politicians to hire and hire people at low prices to break into a building or start a war-like situation within the country. Politics has always been the subject of serious media scrutiny, and truth be told, it is often the mother of the problems of nations that are not stable. In developing countries, it is common for politicians to kill people and be found guilty of murder.  There have been many cases in Asian countries in which politicians were found guilty of killing their people in public.

5. Religion
Religion is another controversial part of this world.  No one can escape the fact;  People still fight on racial divides and communal issues in society. Even though following one's own religion is a basic human right, many uneducated and illiterate people fail to understand it. In many criminal cases, religious fundamentalists have been accused of killing innocent people on the basis of their School of Think. It is common for people to be beheaded, especially in fundamentalist religious communities when they find someone talking about the modern world.  However, in advanced and secular countries, the criminal rate due to religion is quite low.

6. Family Condition
Family is a weak point for anyone who commits a crime.  If you as a poor person are not able to provide for the whole family, at one time you will think about walking on a negative path to get the needs of your family. In most cases, when people are asked, they claim that they need to provide for the family, which causes them to eventually get stuck behind bars. There are many things that go on within the family, forcing a person to engage in criminal activities. Many youth engage in criminal activities because they believe that it is their responsibility to take care of the family, even if it means hooliganism. In many murder cases, the youth are often caught, who then explain that the rich pay bribes to ask them to do something they did not want to do.

7.  Society
Some parents have a unusual habit of comparing their children with other children, which is why their children often indulge in criminal activities to earn a lot of money. When people reduce their wealth in society, it is common for less privileged people to feel compelled to earn more. So if you are showing your wealth to the poor and the needy or people of a middle class background, then in some way you are contributing to the crime statistics of the society.

8. Unemployment
In many countries biggest  reason why so many people commit crimes. You will be shocked to know that more than 30% of the people in this world are unemployed. It is quite disappointing after years of failing to get a job in high school and university. Unemployment is equally an issue not only for developing countries but also in developed countries. Unfortunately people spend a lot of money on their education, but seldom get a good job who finish their studies immediately. Most youths destroy their careers when they indulge in criminal activities long before their lives.

9. Deprivation
This is another major reason for increasing crime rates every day. In countries where there is economic scarcity even over basic rights, it is common for people to commit notorious activities and revolt. In small communities, it is common for people to get involved in fights of land, property, money etc.  So to make their voice heard, many people take offense to the world for what they do. Especially during election campaign, it is common for angry people to destroy cars, houses and properties, to show how cruel they can be if the government is not entitled to their rights.

10. Child Abuse & Neglection
Childhood abuse increased the risk of delinquency of adulthood by promoting antisocial behavior during childhood and adolescence, followed by relationships with antisocial romantic partners and peers in adulthood.
Researchers also found gender differences in pathways linking child abuse and adult crime.  Although engagement with antisocial peers in adulthood increased criminal involvement for both men and women with a history of childhood physical and emotional abuse, the role of adult romantic partners in the link between child abuse and adult crime varied among men and women.
Conclusion
Finally, we would like to conclude, it is important to stay away from crime. The world is completely blind in separating needs from desires. Even if you have less money for survival, you should be happy with it rather than being ready to amalgamate yourself into the pool of crime.
